Göbeklitepe is one of those places that just blows your mind. A find that makes you question everything you thought you knew about how civilization began. Are they supposed to be stars, gods or mythical creatures? Whatever they are they're like windows, into the minds of our ancestors giving us a glimpse of what they thought and believed. If you dig deeper you might just uncover not what daily life was like then but also the kind of spiritual and cosmic ideas that shaped the course of human history.
There's something, about the symbols at Göbeklitepe. When you look closer it seems like the whole landscape is tied up with meaning.
